Dr. Berger has authored and edited eight books on energy and environmental issues and is a long-time supporter of alternative energy solutions to global environmental problems. He also helped launch the environmental restoration movement in the mid-80's and has repeatedly called attention to the nation's excessive dependence on foreign oil and the huge economic and environmental costs, and risks.

His new book Forests Forever: Their Ecology, Restoration and Protection (available now) will appeal to students, activists, community leaders, and to a broad public concerned with forests, the environment and biodiversity.
